Ministries
Ministry is not meant to be a word that is parsed out and put on the sidelines of our lives, as though we can only engage in ministry when we do things at church. Rather, ministry is meant to be INCARNATIONAL, embodied in our everyday activities... at our places of work, in the shopping mall, over dinner with friends, and at home with our loved ones.
Seen from this perspective, incarnational ministry is living life to God's glory... it is EMBODYING Christ's message of faith, hope, and love in ALL that we do. There is no place we can go where God is not already present... he just asks for us to acknowledge him.
This being said, our MINISTRIES are meant to enhance and refine what it is that we are already doing on a daily basis. Our ministries are additional tools for shaping our life's direction.
Ekklesia | ek-klay-see'-ah: Gathering together for worship
Ekklesia is our name for all the things that we do on Sunday morning, from greeting and worship, to preaching and giving of our tithes and offerings. This is the first and best avenue in which we feel people are best able to love and connect with God as a corporate body.
Koinonia | koy-nohn-ee'-ah: Fellowship, community, and sharing
Koinonia is our name for all the ways that we connect to one another as a church family in house. It is the second phase in our church process which we believe everyone can learn how to love and connect with each other through our small groups and our children's and youth ministries.
Agape | ag-ah'-pay: Love, brotherly affection, and good will
Agape is the third phase in our church process and is the name for all the ways we seek to love and serve those outside our church community. From community development and outreach ministry to world missions, church planting and evangelism. Agape: We love others because HE FIRST LOVED US.
